Amazing post.

I just have to say… they are not going to remember what you didn't get to. What dance class they didn't take. Which circus they missed. They are simple going to remember everything you DO do for them. Those walks you take… those snuggles you give… those times they were somehow able to sneak downstairs without you noticing and got smooches instead of scoldings. They are just going to remember what an awesome Mommy they've got. Because, seriously… do you remember all of the things that didn't happen for you? Try to remember that. Because Miss Amanda… from all I can tell… you are pretty awesome.

Heather hit it right on the head. My little man remembers the least little things (to me) but to him are simply awesome. I'm astounded each time he brings up a remembrance – and touched, and sometimes sad – that I didn't place more emphasis (time?) on whatever it was.
